Values business partners,
certainly we have all taken note of the affected situation of the ongoing Ukraine-Russia war. The further impact of Russia’s aggression through its war of aggression, which cannot be justified by anything, will have a significant impact in the machinery and equipment sector and will once again exacerbate the difficulties that have not yet been overcome in supply chains that have been weakened in particular by the corona virus.
The resulting expected increase in energy prices alone is a heavy burden on all of us! But far behind that are other serious implications that will bring a global bottleneck, not transparent at this point, to our supply chains. The current limited availability of the raw materials we use continues, but there has also been strong cost pressure in this respect. We also currently expect this to have an even more intensive impact. Likewise, we cannot completely rule out a possible imminent shortage of various raw materials for our business activities! It remains to be seen how persistently or even further aggravated the government sanctions issued will affect our common economic area in the European perspective.
However, you can assume that we will ensure a sustainable reservation of raw materials, capacities and materials for our planned and already confirmed orders! Of course, we try to monitor the dependencies on other sub-suppliers and possible energy bottlenecks as far as possible. We do not have direct business activities with Russian or Ukrainian partners!
The bottom line, however, is that depending on the situation, there is unfortunately a residual risk which we forecast as a “noticeable” risk for our business models.
We will certainly continue to inform you if our risk assessment should worsen to “serious” and hope to jointly maintain our ability to act!
Despite all the current peculiarities, together we hold on to our actions and look optimistically to a more hopeful and humanitarian “tomorrow”.
